The New Healthcare Databases Advanced Search (HDAS)

The NEW NICE Healthcare Databases Advanced Search (HDAS) is now live. Changes were made to the OLD HDAS to improve its stability and performance, and  to create a better user experience. The New HDAS still enables you to search across 9 databases, combine search results, limit your search, view and save results, export, print or email articles, or view them online. The databases available are:

  • AMED – Allied and Complementary Medicine 1985 to present
  • BNI – British Nursing Index 1992 to present
  • CINAHL – Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature 1981 to present
  • EMBASE – Excerpta Medica Database 1974 to present
  • HBE – Health Business Elite 1922 to present
  • HMIC – Health Management Information Consortium 1979 to present
  • Medline – 1946 to present
  • PsycINFO – 1806 to present
  • PubMed – Medline from PubMed 1946 to present

The New HDAS can be found at:  NEW – Healthcare Databases Advanced Search (HDAS) and access is through your Athens username and password for which you can register here. You can also access the Quick User Guide, the Full User Guide and Videos demonstrating how to use the different features of HDAS. The OLD – Healthcare Databases Advanced Search will be available until the end of November 2016, so learn how to use the NEW!!!
