The library has purchased 5 of the books shortlisted for this prestigious award celebrating new books about medicine, illness and health.
The titles on this year’s shortlist range from the development of vaccines to the grisly world of Victorian surgery, palliative medicine, families dealing with addiction and how technology is increasingly being used to improve our health and lives.
