This guide will walk you through the process of developing or reviewing a patient information resource at GEH that complies with the Patient Information Resource Policy and Procedures. To follow the process, you will need to fill out the Patient Information Proposal Form to create a new resource, and to review an existing GEH resource you will need to fill out the Patient Information Review Form.
The new policy encourages the creation of a range of different patient information resources and utilises the external website to do so. When developing or reviewing patient information resources we encourage you to use a range of content, not just text and images, to make your works accessible.
All existing patient information leaflets will be moved to this new standard on review. However, if you would like your resources to move to the new standard sooner, please contact us at patient.info@geh.nhs.uk as we can move your content over without additional processes or approval being required, as long as it is in date and no changes to the content are to be made.
