About the Repository
WMER is an online repository that is managed by a consortium of West Midlands NHS Library and Knowledge Services including South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust.
The aim of the repository is to collate, store and make available research and other non-traditional publications by our NHS organisations. This will help to raise our organisational research profiles, encourage a research culture at our institutions, as well as help facilitate the sharing of knowledge.
At South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust and George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust we aim to make the full text available through the repository wherever possible. This includes articles, books, and conference papers, among other types of works.
For Authors
The repository represents a key resource to enable you to promote your work to a wider audience and raise your profile. This is especially the case if your research is shared on the repository in full text and made open access. Having your research open access is proven to raise the number of citations it will get and its potential impact.
Did you know that many publishers allow you to share versions of your work open access on repositories? We are currently developing processes to support author upload to the repository of their works. Keep an eye out on this page for future developments.
But if you are interested in having your work made available within the repository in the meantime please contact the library at library@swft.nhs.uk or library@geh.nhs.uk
