Reading for pleasure can reduce stress levels, increase relaxation and a sense of wellbeing, and here at the Library our Reading Groups provide an ideal way to discover new authors, carve out a little bit of ‘me’ time, and meet other staff members who love books.
When? We meet monthly, currently online via MS Teams, usually at lunchtimes.
How do I get a book? We borrow sets of books from the public library, so it’s free to join in: just collect a copy from the library. If you’d prefer to buy your own, or purchase a title for your ereader device, go for it!
Who? We’re always happy to welcome new members, so drop us a line at Library@geh.nhs.uk for George Eliot and Library@swft.nhs.uk for South Warwickshire and we’ll invite you to the next meeting. All members of staff are welcome – we have attendees from all walks of Trust life – and if the book choice or timing of the group for the other Trust’s Reading Group suits you better, you’re more than welcome to join in with either or both groups.
What have you read? We publish reviews of our reads on our library blog. Take a look at some of our previous reads here.
