Hello! I’m Nathan Field, the brand new Senior Library Assistant at Warwick Hospital Education Centre Library. I’ll normally be behind the desk at Warwick as the first point of contact there, whether you’re borrowing a book, figuring out how to use the photocopier, or just making use of the quiet space during your hectic NHS day.
I’m a Warwick University graduate with a background in Life Sciences, but I’d say I’ve learned at least as much from my subsequent experience working in retail. I can fully relate to the challenges and rewards of working with and assisting people from absolutely every kind of background.
Outside of work, I sing in a choir, do my best to keep my houseplants alive, and try to see as much of my nieces and nephews as I can.
It’s such an exciting time to be joining the Library team as we look to develop and modernise the services we offer. But some things never change – a Library is always as much about being a calm, safe space as it is about learning and finding information.
I’ve been made to feel incredibly welcome by the lovely team at both Warwick and George Eliot, and can’t wait to get to know more of my new colleagues across our Trusts, so do drop in and say hi!
