Hi, my name is Deborah Yates – but you can call me Deb – and I’m the new Librarian at George Eliot Hospital’s William Harvey Library.
Over the last 24 years, I have worked in various roles within a Library setting and in 2014, I achieved my degree in Information and Library Management. My previous role was with North Warwickshire & South Leicestershire College as Systems Librarian where I maintained the Library’s systems and online resources.
I am very happy to become part of the George Eliot team, I have been made to feel very welcome and look forward to meeting many more lovely people in the coming weeks and months.
Outside work, my hobbies include watching Formula 1; listening to loud music; letting the cat out and letting the cat in. I have recently taken up playing the flute again after a lapse of many years so, with practice, I’m hoping I’ll be able to delight the neighbours by the time summer comes around!
