Our team have enjoyed taking part in the first Libraries Change Lives Week, which ran from Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th June 2025. We hosted a range of events and activities, including Open Days at both libraries.
Open Day at Warwick
The week kicked off on the Monday with an Open Day event in the Education Centre Library at Warwick Hospital. It was great to welcome new faces to the library and visitors enjoyed taking part in our book-based treasure hunt game.
Open Day at Nuneaton
On Thursday, it was George Eliot’s turn. Visitors enjoyed the treasure hunt game and the refreshments. We also had a representative from EBSCO with us, who helped to promote the NHS Knowledge and Library Hub and EBSCO’s databases.
Other events
As well as the Open Days, we ran a joint wellbeing reading group, and hosted sessions on BMJ Best Practice and how to access our ebooks. We also held market stalls in our respective hospital buildings, which were a great opportunity to talk to colleagues about the services we offer.
